When Last We Met
The March meeting of the Swedish-American Society was held Sunday, March 18th.
The last meeting demonstrated the ongoing strength and stability of the Club. When Larry and Nellie Leonardson as well as Bob Olson were unable to attend, the regular program went on as scheduled, without problems, thanks to our vice-president, Bentley Anderson and all the others who so generously contributed.  As long as so many can eat well, sing loudly and participate in and applaud the program, there will always be a Swedish-American Society of Tidewater. As I do not have a report from that meeting at this time, information about the meeting is not included in this newsletter.  Upon receipt of a report, it will be added to the online newsletter posting.

CHILDREN’S CORNER
The children will once again be doing
“bead-plate making”, melting plastic beads together as Nellie is still dealing with some health issues and we have millions of beads to use.  For those that receive “Sweden & America”, look on page 8 in the Spring 2001 issue under Art: From Kindergarten, for an article about this art form.  If anyone has any future craft ideas, please contact Nellie.  The children will be making a Midsömmar pole again in May this year. Dried flowers and tiny ribbons will be needed, please donate these items if possible.
